AfroToe Cribs – Vancouver.
Check out the penthouse I am staying at here in Vancouver. Watch the video all the way to the end to see my bedroom, where the magic happens! HAHA I just had to say that.

Anything goes.

I flew into Vancouver yesterday afternoon – damn it feels good to be back to my birth city. The weather here is much warmer than Montreal…. so I am enjoying it regardless of the typical west coast rain. I took it fairly easy last night catching up with my older brother but from what I have seen already… this city is CRAZY right now. I can’t wait to get in on the action tonight. Look for lots of exciting updates from the festivities as I am here until Tuesday to be a part of it all! Anyways…. if you are here in Van City hit me up and let’s get sloppy. I will be attending this event tomorrow night so come out and party!
Make sure to follow me on Twitter to stay up to date on the craziness that develops over the next few days.
My friend Sophie is in Hawaii right now enjoying herself…. pretty jealous. When I was on the beach relaxing in Thailand, she sent me a freestyle video. I think I will have to return the favor now that the tables are turned, HAHA. Anyways, that’s for another post. She sent me this awesome photos from a black sand beach out there – ahhh the tropics.
Thought I would post another “Flashback” to share with y’all a trip I took to Greece a few years back. I lost all of my high resolution photos from this trip so I apologize for the poor quality…. but yeah, Greece is probably one of the hottest places I have ever visited. All of the beaches were amazing and I really enjoyed Mythos, the local beer. Word.
This is my 3rd “Flashback” post. Basically what I do is dig through my archived photos from trips abroad back before this blog was started. Last summer I went to Panama for one week, we stayed on the canal for a couple nights and downtown in the city for a few nights to do some shopping….. which is GREAT down there by the way. Panama has a very hot climate as would be expected in Central America… but it is much more modern and developed than the bordering countries. Probably due to the USA having such a heavy influence there for so many years. Anyways here are some photos… most of them are from when I took a boat tour deep into the jungle to visit a real indigenous tribe that still lives in huts, in solidarity as would be expected hundreds of years ago. This was a very unique experience.
This photo was taken when I did another boat tour passing through the Panama Canal. At this point I was about the enter the canal and pass under the “Bridge Of The Americas”.
And yeah… this was me enjoying the heat at the pool on the roof of my amazing hotel. It was so hot that my iPhone (which I took these photos with) had a heat warning pop up and actually shut itself off.
So…. now that I took you on some “Discovery Channel” type shit…. get back to your weekend and fucking party!
My bag was already packed and I could just about hear Will Smith’s “Welcome to Miami” playing in my head. Party plans were made, tickets were paid for and shit was hyped. And then I realized something fatal…. my passport was nowhere to be found. I am not usually the type of person to lose this kind of thing, having traveled extensively since a young age. I don’t mean to point fingers but I am skeptical that the cleaning ladies snatched it for some unknown reason last time they were here. Anyways… I called to cancel my flight in time to be credited with a voucher for the cost of my ticket… so whenever my new passport comes I will be heading down for the weekend. Hopefully this will take place during the Winter Music Conference… stay tuned.
Now… what to do with my weekend?
Most of you probably know that the Super Bowl game is being played this Sunday in Miami, Florida. If you have been following this blog long enough, you know that I frequently visit the 305 as I have a lot of friends down there. I was actually just skydiving down there in November. Well… I am hopping a flight down there again tomorrow to take in all of the Super Bowl weekend parties. I am seeing Snoop Dog tomorrow night when I get off the jet, then Young Money the next night -that’s Lil Wayne, Drake, Nicki Minaj, Tyga ect – followed by the big game on Sunday before flying home early Monday in time to get into the office for work. I will have my flip camera rolling the entire time so expect some crazy updates on this blog soon. Bags are packed with the essentials…
With these home videos (see below) surfacing months after the fact, it got me thinking. Just because I wasn’t blogging earlier, doesn’t mean my life wasn’t any less ballin. This will be the first in a new category of posts which I will refer to as “Flashbacks.” Over the next month or two expect to see a lot of vintage AfroToe surfacing on here. Since the videos from Costa Rica were posted below, I will start this off with photos from that trip.
If it seems like I travel a lot, that’s because I do. I have already been to 25 countries across 4 continents and had to get a new passport not because the old one expired but because I ran out of room for stamps. I’ve been racking up frequent flier miles for years so keep checking back and I will share photos from past travels like this.
Home video from my vacation in Costa Rica last summer has just surfaced. This was before I started my blog, so I wasn’t filming myself but check out the footage that a couple of my friends got while at Tango India VIP, the nicest strip club in Central America. They actually have a full sized airplane in the club, so everything else follows in that theme….including the sexy flight attendants.
Over the past 3 weeks I spent 43 hours on board airplanes, not to mention time in airports. I crossed the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, fully circling the globe. I touched down on 3 continents and visited 5 countries. Needless to say, it feels good to be home! Traveling is something I always love doing, and I have gotten accustom to living in airports and sleeping upright on airplanes, but I can tell you that I am looking forward to some time off from all of that. The adventures were amazing, as I am sure you saw yourself if you read this blog regularly, and overall the vacation was a great success. Nothing like spending Christmas in the tropics!
Now that I am settled, I will be back on top of my Twitter game so make sure to follow me!
