We just got back from a week in Costa Rica. Here are some photos from the trip.

I just got back from spending a few days at the beach house of one of my best friends. He has a ridiculous mansion on a cliff overlooking the Pacific Ocean here in Costa Rica.

Miami Mike came to visit me in Costa Rica, where I am currently residing.

I previously posted mentioning that I spent 5 years of my life living in Costa Rica. The house I lived in while attending high school down there was actually a large “compound” consisting of two mansions sharing one central pool/party area. My family lived in one of the houses – and my uncle in the other. He was actually featured on MTV Cribs a couple years ago showing the compound and I just got an embeddable copy of the video so I thought I would share. The bedroom with the Scarface painting and round bed was/is mine.

With these home videos (see below) surfacing months after the fact, it got me thinking. Just because I wasn’t blogging earlier, doesn’t mean my life wasn’t any less ballin. This will be the first in a new category of posts which I will refer to as “Flashbacks.” Over the next month or two expect to see a lot of vintage AfroToe surfacing on here. Since the videos from Costa Rica were posted below, I will start this off with photos from that trip.

If it seems like I travel a lot, that’s because I do. I have already been to 25 countries across 4 continents and had to get a new passport not because the old one expired but because I ran out of room for stamps. I’ve been racking up frequent flier miles for years so keep checking back and I will share photos from past travels like this.

Just found an old video from Costa Rica.

Tango India is the nicest strip club in Central America. They have a full sized airplane in the club, so everything follows that theme, including the sexy flight attendants.

I’ve known this dude Gommert Mes for many years since we both lived in Costa Rica together for a few while. He was in Montreal crashing at our place two weeks ago and mentioned that he was flying back down to Costa Rica to open for Tiesto at a huge party. I see him constantly listening to music to find the next hidden gem, so you’ve really gotta respect the hustle. Check some media from the event.
